So you have a smartphone, a laptop, a desktop pc.

How about a &ldquosmart&rdquo Television? Plus an iPad, a infant cam, a higher-tech rice cooker, even a refrigerator with Wi-Fi capabilities?

If you have numerous of these or other products that connect to the Internet in some way, we&rsquod like to hear from you.

The San Diego Union-Tribune is preparing stories about the digital revolution &mdash what it is, how it can advantage your day-to-day life and how it can make you vulnerable to hacking and other cyber crimes.

A key component of the digital revolution includes the universe of internet-connected devices, or what&rsquos frequently identified as the Internet of Things. These products variety from the goods currently described to safety-cameras, DVRs, doorbell and window lock systems, toasters, electronic image frames, humidifiers, pet monitors, motion detectors, lawnmowers and a selection of toys like Barbie dolls.
